I was creative from a young age, if there was paper and a pencil laying around I would be scribbling on it, or making something out of boxes, and as I grew Art become my favourite subject at school, though once I left school I pursued other hobbies, mainly horse riding, as long as I can remember Ive always been an animal lover, always wanting to go and 'stroke the dog ' or pleading with my parents every Christmas for a pony, though the dream of owning my own horse never came until I was in my mid 20's. I now own an Appaloosa called Harley, and 3 dogs, Honey a little heinz57 who was rescued off the streets in Spain as a pup, Misty a blue merle Shetland Sheepdog and her daughter a tri coloured sheltie called Brockley.

Sadly I lost my 'horse of a lifetime' Freckles in November 2018 after 20 years together, I
shall be making something special with her hair

When Foxy my last Sheltie died I wanted to do something with her ashes and after searching keepsakes online, I came across resin keepsakes, along with horse hair bracelets, but as I lived in Spain at the time it was hard to find anyone local, so I started creating my own. So 'Foxy Keepsakes' was established in 2014 and my keepsakes business is named in her honour

My own animals have had their fur and hair snipped to use in some of my samples much to their disgust,
but at least I have a reminder of them all.

I lived in Spain from 2004 and 2016 but I'm now living back in my home town of Nottingham
